New York, NY – September 23, 2024 – The National Philoptochos Society proudly announces a $300,000 grant to Hellenic College Holy Cross (HCHC) to upgrade technology and campus facilities. Thanks to the generosity of our members and supporters, this funding will enhance HCHC’s mission of educational, and spiritual development within the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America, as they prepare the students for a life of service in our sacred Archdiocese.
This grant underscores Philoptochos’ dedication to nurturing future leaders for the Church and society by addressing urgent infrastructure needs arising from increased enrollment and technological demands. These enhancements are essential for creating an optimal learning environment that supports Hellenic College Holy Cross students’ academic and spiritual formation. Specifically, it will focus on two critical areas: Information Technology Upgrades and Campus Improvements.
Information Technology Upgrades:
- $60,000 for new server systems to enhance efficiency and data security.
- $15,000 for faster fiber internet to support the expanding student body.
- $45,000 for network enhancements to ensure reliable internet access throughout campus.
- $25,000 for secure access cards and readers to enhance campus safety.
Campus Improvements:
- $52,000 to replace the Chapel boiler.
- $63,000 for walkway repairs to create safer and more accessible paths around campus.
- $2,260 for fire alarm system upgrades across all campus facilities.
These upgrades will significantly improve the student experience, providing a secure and enriching environment for academic and spiritual growth.
